The NBA Draft is less than a month away, and the group of draftable players is finally coming into full focus. After the withdrawal deadline, several borderline first-round prospects opted to head back to the college ranks, reshaping the back half of the board in multiple spots.
The NBA mock draft will continue to shift over the coming month, with offseason workouts and final film breakdowns left to complete before the picks start rolling in. In the meantime, teams must also diagnose the areas they must fill needs.
With the list of draftable players more clear, here is the latest projections for what the 2025 NBA Draft could look like. This has all 59 selections based on current big board and team needs.
1. Dallas Mavericks: Cooper Flagg, Duke
The Dallas Mavericks got a franchise-altering lifeline when the won the NBA Draft lottery and the right to select Cooper Flagg. Despite early chatter over the potential for a blockbuster trade, it appears they are ready to make the selection and integrate the clear top prospect into the defense-first philosophy.

2. San Antonio Spurs: Dylan Harper, Rutgers
The San Antonio Spurs also made a big move up the board at the NBA Draft lottery, giving them another asset to help build around superstar Victor Wembanyama. While it remains unclear whether they are more likely to pair Dylan Harper with the existing core or trade the pick as part of a star-hunting package, the name off the board is clear.

3. Philadelphia 76ers: Ace Bailey, Rutgers
The Philadelphia 76ers got some NBA Draft lottery luck of their own, providing the franchise a chance to reload with a young talent or package the pick to help the win-now focused core of aging and often injured stars. While Ace Bailey is a tier below the top two picks, he still has plenty upside to warrant this spot in either scenario.

4. Charlotte Hornets: VJ Edgecombe, Baylor
The Charlotte Hornets land inside the Top Four in the NBA Draft lottery and are positioned well to add another piece to their young team which has struggled to find balance and win games. Adding a player like VJ Edgecombe could help create a culture on defense and offer more high upside.

The Utah Jazz fall down the board after the NBA Draft lottery and now must select the best player left on the board to propel their rebuild. Tre Johnson offers the kind of star upside which is hard to find, also possesses upside to be the offensive hub and play-making guard the franchise needs.

6. Washington Wizards: Kon Knueppel, Duke
The Washington Wizards are another team which suffered the unlucky side of the NBA Draft lottery results, leaving them outside the group of teams picking top prospects. In the absence of a high-upside prospect at a position of need, adding Kon Knueppel helps build out the wing position and guarantees production.

7. New Orleans Pelicans: Khaman Maluach, Duke
The New Orleans Pelicans are the last team which fell down the board during the NBA Draft lottery, leaving them with fewer options as they look to hit reset on an injury-plagued stretch. With the direction of the franchise up in the air this offseason, adding another big man with a different skillset to last year’s lottery selection Yves Missi could provide value.
The Brooklyn Nets continue their rebuilding project with multiple first-round picks in the 2025 NBA Draft, starting with this Top 10 selection. Jeremiah Fears is a high-upside prospect who needs a long runway to reach his potential, something he could receive while playing for this franchise.

The Toronto Raptors appear split, with multiple young players looking to find their role and a group of veterans ready to take a step forward. In the absence of a singular focus entering the offseason, it makes sense to continue the trend of buying into tall players at each position with versatility, which fits Kasparas Jakucionis well.
The Houston Rockets get to pick inside the Top 10 even after a breakout season thanks to a trade, allowing them to further cement their position as one of the best young teams in the NBA. Collin Murray-Boyles fits the defensive philosophy which helped lead to a big leap.

11. Portland Trail Blazers: Noa Essengue, France
The Portland Trail Blazers took their first big step forward in the rebuilding process last season, giving them the platform to start building around the existing group. Noa Essengue fits that mold well, offering depth with the same type of defensive value which sparked success.

12. Chicago Bulls: Derik Queen, Maryland
The Chicago Bulls have slowly started to transition from the old roster to some version of the future, and the next step is to reset the frontcourt. Derik Queen provides the kind of offensive firepower that can help carry a team if put in the right spots while rebuilding.

13. Atlanta Hawks*: Joan Beringer, France
The Atlanta Hawks are in an interesting position after missing the playoffs last season, now welcoming a new front office after developing a clear plan to build around Trae Young. Whether the franchise moves forward with that plan or changes course, adding a center is essential, with Joan Beringer one of the top rim-runners available.

14. San Antonio Spurs*: Carter Bryant, Arizona
The San Antonio Spurs look primed to use their second first-round pick inside the lottery to add wing depth, a neccisary part of every contending team. Carter Bryant fits the mold well, already proving his value without many on-ball reps throughout his one college season.
