It is the same song and dance with the New York Knicks again. They can’t beat the better or elite teams in the NBA. They just blew a 15 point lead against the Cleveland Cavaliers and are winless now against the upper echelon teams. The Knicks are soft and lack physicality and toughness. It gets me so frustrated and MJ too because he’s such a big fan of them. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
The storyline does not change when it comes to the Knicks this season, they can’t beat the elite teams. They were ahead by 15 points in the first half on Wednesday at Cleveland but didn’t show up in the second half. There was no effort and absolutely no defense by the Knicks. You can use all the excuses you want because the Knicks are nowhere near a Championship team. I had higher hopes for the Knicks this season but they don’t step up and that includes Karl Anthony Towns who needs to be better especially against teams like Cleveland and Boston.

Now there are only seven games left in the entire regular season and all that really matters are the playoffs when they begin here in two weeks. I hope the Knicks can get Jalen Brunson back healthy because he is so instrumental in their offense and just to the team and organization in general. The Knicks might win one playoff series but for the third straight year they will lose in the second round to a better team that they haven’t been able to beat.
