As a 14-time WWE Women’s champion and the daughter of one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all-time, Charlotte Flair is a pretty big deal. There’s a lot of interest in her personal life too though, interest that may be at an all-time high due to the end of her latest marriage to fellow WWE talent Andrade, and how that became a talking point during Flair’s WrestleMania 41 feud with Tiffany Stratton.
So being spotted out in a town like Los Angeles with anyone would probably make tabloid headlines. Charlotte was spotted out with someone even more famous than herself — and whose love life has been even bigger tabloid fodder than hers over the years thanks to his relationship with Jennifer Lopez* — in baseball legend Alex Rodriguez.
It didn’t take long for video of A-Rod and the Queen at Crypto.com Arena tonight (April 30) to hit social media. They were in attendance for Game 5 of the home Lakers first-round NBA Playoff series with the Minnesota Timberwolves. L.A.-based sports reporter Arash Markazi shared the clips. One shows Rodriguez — who is a part-owner of the Timberwolves — chatting near their seats with Lakers President & General Manager Rob Pelinka.
The woman seated next to Rodriguez is Flair, which becomes clear in a second video of the pair talking separately to Shane McMahon, comedian Jeff Dye (who used to date Becky Lynch, and who just worked The Roast of WrestleMania), and others before walking back to their seats.
What does it all mean? That’s none of our business, at least until Flair and/or Rodriguez decide to share more with us. As the interest and chatter these videos have already generated proves though, people are going to talk.
We hope they had a nice night. At least they seem to be getting a good game (as of this writing, it’s tied early in the fourth quarter).
* A-Rod probably didn’t attract quite as much paparazzi during his time with WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson as he did with J-Lo.
