Jared Curtis must have a strong feeling about the Georgia Bulldogs, because he’s now committed to Kirby Smart and Co. twice.
Of course, the first commitment didn’t last, and that’s definitely worth noting. Curtis, a five-star quarterback from Nashville had originally committed to UGA in March 2024.
He decommitted in October 2024 and got a ton of interest from other programs. Oregon has been the closest to earning his commitment, but South Carolina, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss were also in the running.
Ultimately, per Eli Lederman of ESPN, Curtis hosted Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and then Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein over the last week to help him narrow down his decision between the Bulldogs and Ducks.
There must be something about Georgia for him, because despite Oregon’s best attempts, UGA once again picked up his commitment.
“Georgia speaks for itself,” Curtis had told On3 in the past. “I’ve built a relationship with coach Bobo and coach Smart. I think they’re a powerhouse and they have great coaches all around. They have the players up there and they’re very disciplined.”
