
The Boston Celtics, the reigning, defending NBA champions, are in a shocking 2-0 hole against the New York Knicks that few predicted before the start of this series. The Celtics blew another 20-point lead and suffered a 91-90 Game 2 loss on Wednesday night.
After the Celtics went undefeated in four games against the Knicks during the regular season, it looked like a formality that Boston’s dominance over New York would continue in the postseason. But thanks to a game-clinching steal in both Game 1 and Game 2 from Mikal Bridges, in addition to back-to-back 20-point leads blown, the Celtics now face a must-win Game 3 if they’re hoping to repeat as champions.
