After an uninspired start to the regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles turned in some of last year’s most exciting games. What they’ll do for an encore remains to be seen, but we can’t wait for these three games.
Week 1 vs. Dallas Cowboys
All eyes will be on Lincoln Financial Field as the defending Super Bowl champions raise their banner and open the 2025 NFL season against rival Dallas, a team that never fails to draw the ire of Philly fans.
The Cowboys were 0-2 against the Eagles last year but did so without their starting quarterback. Dak Prescott went 3-5 in eight starts before suffering a season-ending hamstring injury against the Falcons in Week 9.
Overall, Prescott has a 9-4 record against Philadelphia but is 3-3 in road games. The Eagles outscored Dallas 75-13 last season and are 3-4 against the Cowboys since head coach Nick Sirianni took over in 2022.
This year, Brian Schottenheimer takes over for Mike McCarthy as Cowboys coach after spending the last three seasons as an assistant with the team. He’ll need to have Dallas ready against Philadelphia’s top-ranked defense and NFL rushing leader Saquon Barkley in front of a primetime national audience.
Week 10 at Green Bay Packers
The Packers would love avenge last year’s 22-10 loss to the Eagles on opening day in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Eagles could be looking for payback after Packers executives failed to have Philadelphia’s signature “tush-push” play banned in the offseason.
