One week after he made the 700th start of his NASCAR Cup Series career, Denny Hamlin won for the 57th time in his career and the third time in 2025.
With nearly the entire field attempting to save fuel over the final run of Sunday’s FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, Denny Hamlin was on the attack. After Carson Hocevar lost the lead due to a flat tire, Hamlin made his way to second, engaging in an intense battle for the lead with William Byron.
Hamlin eventually won that battle, which, in hindsight, wouldn’t have mattered anyway, as Byron ran out of gas with four laps to go and finished 28th.
