The Florida Gators are riding a recruiting hot streak with the 2026 class.
Over this past weekend, head coach Billy Napier continued to be red hot. With over a dozen official visits on campus, Napier landed commitments from three of them.
One of the intriguing players who made their way on campus was four-star recruit per On3 Sports offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem. He had yet to visit Gainesville before his official visit this weekend, but it made a huge impression.
On3 Sports’s Blake Alderman and 247 Sports’ Tyler Hardin both logged predictions for Chukuyem to land with the Gators. The date of his visit is very important here, as just one day after he left Gainesville, Chukuyem will be making his commitment.
Being a recruit’s last visit gives you a major advantage over other schools, and that’s reflected in multiple expert predictions. If Chukuyem commits on Monday, he will be the second offensive tackle commit to pair with 6’8 three-star Chancellor Campbell.
Chukuyem is a solid recruit, being the 26th-ranked offensive tackle and 32nd recruit in the state of Georgia per On3 Sports. He hasn’t taken many visits, with just two other official visits to Ole Miss (May 30th) and Cincinnati (June 6th). That is another element the Gators have to their advantage with his recruitment.
If the Gators get his commitment, it will bring their commitments to 11 in the class, with eight of them on the offensive side of the football.
