The NBA playoffs can bring out the best in players you would least expect. We have seen the likes of Robert Horry or Andre Iguodala raise their games to help propel their teams to championships.
The Denver Nuggets have that in Aaron Gordon.
Gordon has been the hero thus far in these playoffs for a depleted Nuggets team. Michael Porter Jr. is dealing with a serious shoulder injury but insists he plays through it. Gordon himself is dealing with a lingering calf injury. However, Gordon has been extremely important to this team, especially in clutch situations.
In their first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers, Gordon had the game-winning putback dunk to win Game 4. Then, in Game 1 of their current series versus the No. 1-seed Oklahoma City Thunder, he drained the game-winning three to steal the game.
Friday was another example of his poise in the final moments, as he drained a three to tie the game and send it to overtime. The Nuggets went on to win, 113-104.
