On Wednesday night, the Dallas Mavericks will play the Los Angeles Lakers (at home).
Anthony Davis will get a chance to go up against his former team for the first time.
The 2020 NBA Champion made an honest statement before the game (h/t Melissa Rohlin of FOX Sports).

Davis spent part of six seasons playing for the Lakers.
They made the Western Conference finals twice (and won one title).

Davis has now appeared in seven games for the Mavs.
In that span, he is averaging 20.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.7 blocks per contest while shooting 45.5% from the field and 26.1% from the three-point range.

Davis was the first pick in the 2012 NBA Draft after one season at Kentucky.
He has also spent time with the New Orleans Pelicans over 13 years in the NBA.

The Mavs are currently the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 38-41 record in 79 games.
