Backup Boston Celtics big man Luke Kornet is looking forward to a role in the 2025 NBA Playoffs. And the Vanderbilt alum has been putting up the sort of numbers and playing the sort of game that suggests that he probably ought to be in the mix for some postseason minutes of consequence in the Celtics’ postseason rotations.
Kornet has been playing so well in the second half of the 2024-25 regular season that there are starting to be some serious concerns about whether Boston will be able to afford Kornet’s next contract, with him being a free agent this summer.
