The NBA Playoffs are off to a roaring start — and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, and Steph Curry are poised to take things to another level today.

Even with the Sunday spreads suggesting we could see some lopsided scores, the star power is undeniable, and my top NBA player props for the April 20 action target three players who know what it feels like to lift the Larry O’Brien trophy.

NBA player props for April 20

Derrick White Over 18.5 points + assists (-115 at bet365)

At this point, it undersells Derrick White’s impact to call him a glue guy, or a connector, or an unsung hero. He’s become a star in his own right, and the Boston Celtics are at their best when White is drilling 3-pointers and creating pick-and-roll magic with Jayson Tatum.

The Orlando Magic are in the same impossible position that so many teams have found themselves this season — how do you defend a Boston team with so many offensive weapons?

The likeliest scenario is extra attention on Tatum and Jaylen Brown, with White sliding under the radar, and I love the Over on 18.5 points + rebounds for the former Spurs guard.

White has gone past this O/U number in 10 straight games, and he finished the regular season with averages of 16.4 ppg and 4.8 apg. He’s knocking down his 3-pointers at a 42% clip so far in April, and he’s dished at least six dimes in nine of his past 10 contests.

This line respects Orlando’s stubborn defense, but I have my doubts about the visitors stifling the Celtics at a rocking TD Garden — and White could even cash the Over in points alone..

Andrew Wiggins Over 18.5 points (-105 at bet365)

The Miami Heat have navigated the Play-In Tournament once again, and Tyler Herro’s shotmaking was the No. 1 reason for Erik Spoelstra’s men getting through two win-or-go-home outings. Don’t sleep on Andrew Wiggins’ impact in those wins over the Bulls and Hawks this week.

Wiggins has been a somewhat forgotten man since the Jimmy Butler III trade, but he has some memorable playoff moments on his resume, and the Heat will need his offense to keep pace with the Cavaliers tonight in Game 1.

He scored 20 points in both play-in victories, while taking a combined 37 shots, and he’s quietly averaged 19 ppg on 46% shooting in his 17 games for Miami, with 20+ points in 10 of those games.

Defensively, Cleveland’s strengths lie in the paint, but there are spots to pick at on the perimeter, against Darius Garland and Mitchell, so Wiggins could be one of Miami’s best sources of offense if his jumper is dropping.

As long as Game 1 doesn’t descend into blowout territory, Wiggins is well placed for the minutes and volume to nail this Over.

Draymond Green Over 15.5 points + rebounds (-120 at bet365)

Buckle up for a lot of snarling trash talk as the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets tip off their first-round series, and few players can match Draymond Green’s intensity in that environment. Fresh after some much-needed rest days, watch for him to stamp his authority on this series from the opening minutes.

His playmaking was his strong suit in the play-in win over the Grizzlies on Tuesday as he piled up 10 assists, but it’s the Over on his points + rebounds prop that jumps out to me today.

This is a wager on Draymond looking more like his March self — 10.2 ppg and 6.7 rpg — rather than the tamer stat lines this month, and there’s every reason to think his minutes will edge up into the mid-30s in the postseason.

The Rockets will gladly give up 3-point looks to Green, but he’s had a few streakier stretches lately, including a 4-for-6 effort from downtown against the Clippers last weekend. Together with his vital work on the glass, I see him scoring enough points to make this pick a winner.
