It was the second consecutive shutout for the Red Sox. This time it was Lucas Giolito doing the honors and going six innings, as Sox starters have thrown 19 scoreless innings over the last three games. The rotation has allowed one run in the last 29⅓ innings.

Walker Buehler will look to keep it going when he gets the start tonight. The Mariners will counter with Bryan Woo, who has pitched at least six innings in all 13 of his starts for the Mariners this season.

He got the win his last time out, allowing three runs on six hits over seven innings in a 4-3 decision over the Rays last Wednesday. … The Red Sox are 8-2 in their stretch of 15 consecutive games (five straight series) against clubs with a record of .500 or better. … The Red Sox have allowed three runs or fewer in each of the six games during their current winning streak.
