The Buckeyes have added the brother of an NBA star as a developmental piece to their 2025-26 roster.

Guard Myles Herro, brother of NBA All-Star and Miami Heat shooting guard Tyler Herro, committed to Ohio State on Monday.

Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Whitnall High School, Herro is unranked by the 247Sports composite for the class of 2025, though 247Sports’ own rankings list him as a three-star prospect and the No. 40 point guard in the country. He also played AAU ball for Team Herro, coached by his father, in Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League.

Standing 6-foot-3, Herro averaged 21.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists as a senior at Whitnall.

Herro joins four-star forward A’mare Bynum in the Buckeyes’ 2025 freshman class. Four-star guard Dorian Jones also signed to play with Ohio State, but has since pushed back his college enrollment due to reported academic eligibility issues.

Correction: An earlier version of this story stated that Herro would not be on scholarship for Ohio State. He will, in fact, be on scholarship.
