The series shifts to the Intuit Dome as the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers find themselves deadlocked at one game apiece in their first-round Western Conference NBA Playoff series.
Game 1 of the series saw the Nuggets prevail in overtime, after the Clippers’ James Harden tied the game with 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Denver’s Aaron Gordon scored six points in the extra period, helping the Nuggets win 112-110. Nikola Jokic led the way with 29 points, nine rebounds, 12 assists, and three steals.
Game 2 was another close affair, with the Clippers pulling out a 105-102 victory. After Jamal Murray made a 3-point shot to tie the game at 100-100, the Clippers scored five of the last seven points to secure the win. Kawhi Leonard was terrific, leading the team with 39 points and five assists on a scorching 15-for-19 from the field.
This series figures to continue to be close, as both teams finished with identical records (50-32), and during the regular season, they split their four meetings.
