The Cincinnati Reds–Arizona Diamondbacks series opener was broadcast on Apple TV, but you won’t find the conclusion of the game there.
Friday’s series opener was suspended in the top of the seventh inning due to rain. Apple TV had broadcast rights for the game, but the conclusion of the game (set to resume at 2:10 p.m.) will be on FanDuel Sports Network Ohio.
The teams played through increasingly strong rain for several innings Friday at Great American Ball Park. The Reds tied the game in the bottom of the sixth inning at 3-3, and nearly took a 4-3 lead, which might have produced a rain-shortened victory.
That didn’t happen, though, and the teams will attempt to conclude the final three innings of Friday’s game on Saturday ahead of the originally scheduled 4:10 p.m. game.
There will be a 40-minute intermission between the conclusion of the suspended game and the start of the originally scheduled Saturday game, which will not begin prior to 4:10 p.m.
“Fans holding tickets for (Friday’s) game may receive a discount on tickets for (Saturday’s) game by presenting their tickets at the Great American Ball Park ticket windows,” the Reds said in the Friday statement announcing the suspension. “Gates for Tyler Stephenson City Connect Bobblehead distribution will open for Season Ticket Members at 12:10 p.m. and the general public at 12:40 p.m. “Tickets purchased for (Saturday’s) game scheduled for 4:10 p.m. are valid for both the conclusion of the postponed game and the originally scheduled game.”
