This is the first of a best-of-seven series between these two Western Conference foes. The Rockets, despite being a young team, finished second in the West with a 52-30 record, claiming home court advantage for this series.
The Warriors had a 48-34 record during the regular season and were able to secure a playoff spot by winning their Play-In Tournament game against the Grizzlies.
Houston is constructed of mostly younger players drafted in their first round of the last four drafts, but Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks bring some veteran presence to the roster. Jalen Green has to play up to his potential in the playoffs for the Rockets to get where they want to go.
Stephen Curry is always dangerous in a playoff series and will easily be the best player for either team. Look for Curry to come out firing and establish his dominance now that the postseason is here.
