Michigan State guard Jase Richardson, the son of former NBA slam dunk contest winner Jason Richardson, has declared for the NBA Draft, he announced in a post to his Instagram account Tuesday.
Richardson, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard, just completed his first season with the Spartans, helping the program to an appearance in the Elite Eight, where they lost to Auburn.

The freshman started 15 of 32 games and shot 48 percent from the field, including 41 percent from the 3-point line en route to averaging 12.5 points per game.
He joined the Spartans, his father’s alma mater, as a consensus four-star recruit out of Christopher Columbus High School in Florida.
In a March mock draft from The Athletic, Richardson was projected as a lottery pick.
The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie called the guard “one of the true breakout risers of this draft class.”
“Few players navigate tight spaces quite like Richardson, as he has a Jalen Brunson-like ability to find creases in the defense with his pristine footwork,” Vecenie wrote.
The NBA Draft is scheduled for June 25-26.
