Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has won the William M. Jennings Trophy for the 2024-25 regular season.

The award is presented annually to the goaltender who plays a minimum of 25 games for the team allowing the fewest goals during the regular season. With less than 25 games played, Eric Comrie was not eligible for the award.

Hellebuyck is the first goaltender in NHL history to be the sole William M. Jennings Trophy winner in consecutive seasons. He becomes the fifth goaltender to win the William M. Jennings Trophy in consecutive seasons, joining Brian Hayward, Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur and Roman Turek.

Winnipeg is the first team to earn the William M. Jennings Trophy in consecutive seasons, regardless of its goaltender.

The 31-year-old led the NHL with a 47-12-3 record in 63 games this season. Braden Holtby and Brodeur are the only two other goaltenders in league history to have registered more wins in a single season.

Hellebuyck also became the fourth-fastest goaltender in NHL history to reach the 300-win milestone and set franchise records for wins and shutouts. The Jets finished 2024-25 with a franchise-record 10 shutouts. The Jets allowed two or fewer goals in 46 of their 82 contests and three or fewer in 61 games.

With Winnipeg concluding their season, they yielded a league-low 191 goals to finish atop of the list among teams.

Hellebuyck and the Jets will now shift focus to the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, where they will face off against the St. Louis Blues. Since returning to the Manitoba capital in 2011, the Jets have qualified for the postseason on seven occasions, underscored by a trip to the Western Conference Final in 2018 before falling to the Vegas Golden Knights in five games. The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs mark the third-straight year in which the Jets will compete in the postseason.
