Dwyane Wade shares thoughts on Dallas Mavericks getting first pick
NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade shares his thoughts on the NBA and whether or not the Mavericks getting the first pick in the draft is a “coincidence.”
Sports Seriously
The 2025 NBA mock drafts, whether created by humans or by artificial intelligence, agree on at least one player when the league convenes later this month in Brooklyn to pick the next batch of NBA rookies.
Duke‘s Cooper Flagg is expected to be the No. 1 pick by the Dallas Mavericks barring unforeseen circumstances, according to draft experts and multiple AI simulations.
It’s after Flagg, however, where there isn’t much consensus yet about what will happen during the first round of the NBA draft, and it sets the stage for a speculation-filled few weeks. Given that, USA TODAY Sports asked ChatGPT AI to produce a simulation of all 30 first-round picks.
The results provided confirmation for some of the prospects projected near the top of the lottery and intrigue because of how many selections varied from human mock drafts and simulations performed by other AI programs. ChatGPT AI notably has Duke’s Kon Knueppel joining Flagg as a top-five pick, Rutgers star Ace Bailey dropping out of the top five and a significant international presence in this year’s draft class.
Here’s a complete breakdown of the 2025 NBA draft first-round picks made by a ChatGPT AI simulation, as well as how to watch when teams gather in Brooklyn on June 25-26 to make their actual selections:
