MVP race is on fire
The playoff race isn’t the only race heating up in the final stretch of the season. The MVP race seems to be reopened after Jokic’s 60 point triple double. Many thought and still think that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is in line to win is first MVP, after leading the Thunder to the one seed in the West and leading the league in scoring dropping 32.8 point a night. The Thunder’s season has been incredible and Shai has been the anchor. While SGA is enjoying his best season ever, what Jokic is has been doing this year maybe the most incredible single season we have ever seen. He’s averaging a triple double which is remarkable in itself, but it’s not unheard of. Russell Westbrook did that four different times and Oscar Robertson did it once in the 60s. What makes Jokic’s season so impressive is he is in the top 2 or three in points, assists and rebounds. He is 3rd in scoring at 29.7, tied for 2nd in rebounds at 12.8 along with Karl-Anthony Towns and 2nd in assists with 10.2 a game. He may not have the wins on his side like SGA does, but no one does more for their team than Joker does for the Nuggets.
