Kentucky Wildcats guard Otega Oweh is testing the NBA Draft process while maintaining his college eligibility, he announced Tuesday on Instagram. This was an expected move by Oweh following a standout junior season in Lexington.
Oweh has until the NBA Draft withdrawal deadline on June 15 at 5 PM ET to make a final decision.
“To the best fans in the nation, the Big Blue Nation – Getting to play the game I love each day, knowing I have your support alongside my family and friends, has truly been a dream come true, and I am incredibly blessed. I’m taking the next step and have declared for the 2025 NBA Draft while maintaining my NCAA eligibility,” he wrote.
In his first season at UK, the Oklahoma Sooners transfer averaged 16.2 points (49.2% shooting), 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 35.5% from deep.
The wait begins.
