Several days ago, the NBA announced that Game 1 of the Detroit Pistons–New York Knicks first-round series will tip off Saturday, Apr. 19, at 6 p.m. on ESPN.

While tip off times for all games haven’t been released, the league has unveiled the full series schedule.

Shortly after their Saturday evening showdown, both teams will return to the court for Game 2 on Monday, Apr. 21, at Madison Square Garden. It will be aired on TNT at 7:30 p.m.

They’ll then get a few days off before heading to Detroit for Game 3 on Thursday, Apr. 24, at Little Caesars Arena—coinciding with Day 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft. While the time has yet to be announced, it’s expected to be an evening matchup, with coverage on TNT.

Game 4 will take place Sunday, Apr.27, in Detroit, airing at 1 p.m. on ABC.

In addition to their national coverage, the first four games will also be aired on Fanduel Sports Network Detroit.

If necessary, Game 5 will be held in New York on Apr. 29, Game 6 in Detroit on May 1, and a decisive Game 7 back in New York on May 3.

This marks the first playoff meeting between the Pistons and Knicks in more than 30 years. Their last postseason clash came in the first round of the 1992 playoffs, when New York won 3–2 in a best-of-five format.

Detroit enters the series as a top-six seed for the first time since 2008 and will be aiming to snap a postseason drought that dates back to that same year. The Pistons’ most recent playoff appearance came in 2019 under then-head coach Dwane Casey, when they were swept in the first round by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Under new head coach J.B. Bickerstaff, Detroit managed to reverse its fortunes against New York this season. After previously losing 15 straight regular-season games to the Knicks, the Pistons took the season series 3–1.
