Rangers reportedly preparing offer sheet for rising superstar

Per a new report from an NHL analyst, the New York Rangers feel strongly about JJ Peterka and could be preparing to extend an offer sheet to the Buffalo Sabres forward.

Now that the Rangers have a considerable hole in their lineup, who will they fill it with? Don’t be surprised to see them become the latest NHL club to extend an offer sheet, and it could be to Buffalo Sabres forward JJ Peterka.

NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman speculated that the Rangers could be preparing an offer sheet for Peterka, who is a pending RFA.

Peterka, who was taken 34th overall by the Sabres in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, had 68 points (27G, 41A) for Buffalo this year; they missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the 14th straight year, the longest postseason drought in the NHL.
