Top Red Sox prospect Roman Anthony just hit the longest home run recorded by Statcast this season (majors and minors).

Anthony belted a 497-foot, 115.6 mph grand slam to right-center field for Triple-A Worcester against Rochester on Saturday at Polar Park.

See a video of it here.

Angels star Mike Trout has hit the longest homer (484 feet) in the majors so far in 2025. Triple-A Reno’s Aramis Garcia (484 feet) hit the previous longest minor league home run this season.

Baseball America and MLB Pipeline both rank Anthony the game’s No. 1 prospect.

The 21-year-old outfielder connected on a 91.1 mph sinker from Rochester right-handed pitcher Carlos Romero.

The baseball world is waiting on Anthony’s promotion to the majors. It could happen any day.

He is batting .290 with a .421 on-base percentage, .495 slugging percentage, .916 OPS, 10 homers, nine doubles, two triples, 29 RBIs, 44 runs, 49 walks and 55 strikeouts in 57 games (261 plate appearances) for the WooSox.

“I don’t say this lightly — I think he’s the best minor league hitter I’ve ever seen,” Red Sox’ Abraham Toro said in May after spending April in Worcester with Anthony.
