Leon Draisaitl and the Edmonton Oilers will start their quest for the Stanley Cup against a familiar playoff opponent — the Los Angeles Kings. The Oilers have met (and beat) the Kings in the first round in three consecutive seasons.
This year is a bit different with the Kings starting the series with home-ice advantage, and have will have confidence after beating Edmonton a combined 8-0 in two games in the final month of the regular season.
But the good news for Edmonton is that two things have remained consistent — Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid. McDavid’s scoring was down, but he still reached the 100-point milestone for the eight time in his 10-year career. Draisaitl picked up the slack on the goals, scoring 52 to lead the NHL.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the yearly leaders in NHL goals since the 1990-91 season can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
