Happy 42nd birthday to former NHL sniper Ilya Kovalchuk!
Kovalchuk was a goal machine in his 13-year NHL career, scoring 443 total goals and tied with Jarome Iginla and Rick Nash for the most goals scored in the 2003-04 season. He also had a knack for scoring shorthanded goals, finishing first in the NHL with 4 in 2012-13.
