Lakers just put up 78 points in that first half vs OKC. A lot of elite scorers have come thru and not scored 30. Luka had 22 (8-14) and dominated in a way no one has in this building all year. LA made 15 3s, too. Thunder guys mentioned the fight against human nature and how it’s long clinched the West’s first seed after the Rockets loss. This seems to be more of the same, just with Doncic, James and Reaves on the other side this time.
Just about everybody has had a turn taking on Luka. Chet and iHart on the switches they concede, Dort for the bulk of that quarter, Wallace and Caruso at the tail end. Still, he had 14 pts (5-9 FG, 3-5 on 3s) in a 42-point Laker first quarter.

It’ll be a challenge for the Thunder, but the team is loaded with capable defenders such as Lu Dort, Alex Caruso and Jalen Williams. OKC will also have the edge in the frontcourt with its big-man duo of Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein. I’m going with the Thunder in a close one at home.
