The 2025 NBA draft is now less than a month away, and as it gets closer, more and more mock drafts will be release. With more information, they should become even better educated guesses. Sports Illustrated has continually updated their projections, and have just released the latest version.
In this latest update, SI has two Kentucky Wildcats being drafted. Like every other outlet, they’re not predicting any Wildcats to be first round picks. In fact, both are picked near the end of round two.
Koby Brea is the first Wildcat selected in their mock draft, going 55th overall to the Los Angeles Lakers. They could use more guard depth and any NBA team can use more shooters in the modern NBA style of play.
Otega Oweh is picked 58th by the Cleveland Cavaliers in this projection. It would be a good situation for him to go to, as they were one of the best teams in the league this past season.
A lot of people believe that Oweh will wind up going back to Kentucky. There’s also a chance that no Wildcats are picked this year. Nobody knows how it will play out, but it’s a fun exercise to try and predict.
