While Brady House has not been called up yet, the Nationals are bringing another top prospect. After a couple years of grinding in Rochester Bruce the Bat Dog is getting called up to the Big Leagues.

Our furry little friend will be making his MLB debut on June 14th against the Marlins. This could be a history making moment for the Golden Retriever community. Bruce could be the first of many to take the Big Leagues by storm.

My favorite part of all this is the hilarious video that the Nationals put out of Rochester manager Matt Lecroy giving Bruce the call to the show. Lecroy does such a great job in it, as he does with all his regular call up videos and Bruce was such a good boy.

This was just too good of a story not to write about. Seeing the dog go and get the bats is so adorable. June 14th is a pups in the park day, so hopefully Bruce can be a fixture at those events. When I asked my dog Leo for a comment, he said he was very excited about this.

Good job by the Nats for making this happen because it is very cute. They better win for Bruce the Bat Dog when he is in the building. We can’t let him down.
