The Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of doing their due diligence ahead of the 2025 NBA draft. They hold the No. 3 pick in the draft and will be looking to add a talented, young piece to a roster in need of an injection of youth at this stage of their championship quest.

The Sixers will certainly have a number of options at No. 3 overall. They can look at the top names with Rutgers star Ace Bailey being at the top of the list, but President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and his staff have a plan and they will look to make sure they put the Sixers in the best position to succeed in the future.

In terms of who they have worked out prior to the draft, the known list of players is small. Per Cody Taylor of The Rookie Wire, the Sixers have worked out:

  • VJ Edgecombe, Baylor
  • John Blackwell, Wisconsin – returned to school
  • Ace Bailey, Rutgers – scheduled

Bailey and Edgecombe will be two players who will have the attention of Morey. Those two players are certainly worth the No. 3 pick and will be able to contribute in the league right away. With that being said, nobody seems to know what the Sixers will do on June 25 and that’s a good thing.
