INDIANAPOLIS — Cavaliers All-NBA guard Donovan Mitchell re-aggravated an ankle injury and is expected to be a game-time decision for Game 5 on Tuesday in Cleveland’s Eastern Conference semifinals series against the Pacers according to a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania on the “Pat McAfee Show.”

Mitchell appeared to be injured during warm-ups at halftime of the Pacers’ 129-109 Game 4 win over the Cavs, which gives the Pacers a 3-1 lead in the series going into Game 5 on 7 p.m., Tuesday at Cleveland’s Rocket Arena. Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson said in his post-game news conference Mitchell would have an MRI on Monday. Charania reported the MRI showed the ankle injury. Mitchell was officially designated as questionable on the injury report late Monday afternoon.

Mitchell made a case for first-team All-NBA honors this season, averaging 24.0 points and 5.0 assists per game for a Cavaliers team that went 64-18, winning the second-most games in franchise history and earning the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. In the postseason he’s been even better, averaging 28.9 points per game in eight playoff games. He scored 33 points in Game 1 against the Pacers, 48 in Game 2 and 43 in Game 3, but the Cavs managed to win only Game 3. In Game 4, he scored 12 points on 3 of 11 shooting before he was removed from the game.
